Sometimes it’s nice to open up the corners, let a little light in and see MORE!
I realized the need for a wide angle lens while planning a trip to Tanzania in 2014 and so rented a AF-S DX Nikkor 10-24mm f/3.5-4.5G ED from a lovely fella in Singapore, and then it became a staple on subsequent trips. I finally decided to get me my own and bought a similar version by Tamron.
Ah, and what a world it opened up for me. I could fit the Ngorongoro Crater in one shot, I could capture the round frame of the Tulou’s in Fujian, the entire Hawa Mahal palace in Jaipur (that was a real treat!) and numerous skies and landscapes.
Always nice to get some different perspective, don’t you think?
